And what to our wondrous eyes did appear this morning? More snow!

We're so completely under here on East Main, that failing a drastic temperature inversion 'tween now and then, we will awaken to our first White Christmas in recent memory.

(Jeanne thinks the last was '95 but I don't recall.)

We will, after running the dogs...

Rosco and Jeanne brave the rear yard

...be taking our coffee and freshly made biscotti, and settling down to start the 19-DVD set of "Deadwood," so while our world may be interminable white without, the air within will be eloquently blue.

Jeanne is right. It was my son's 1st Christmas, it was 1995, and it was white. Merry Christmas to you both.

And to your house as well.

Upton NWS reported accumulation in WHB at 28.7" for the Blizzard of 2009. Wow! I'm sure there are a lot of sore muscles and backs this fine evening.

We had measured 29 inches at our home in the Village. I think the Village Highway Department did a great job with plowing. Driving to my office in Hampton Bays this morning, I can't say the same for Southampton Town.

Now that I've been unencumbered by the kindness of a pal with a snow-blower, I shall have to do an inspection of the Village m'self.
