Linda, we miss you already

From 27East yesterday:

Two meetings of the Southampton Town Board had no quorum

The Southampton Press' Bryan Finlayson reported that three members of the Town Board, Supervisor-elect Anna Throne-Holst, Chris Nuzzi and lame-duck Sally Pope blew off or otherwise failed to attend two separate Town Board meetings last week, leaving the December 1st and 4th sessions one person short of a quorum.

Accordingly, with only Councilwoman Nancy Graboski and the other lame-duck, Supervisor Linda Kabot there to do the business of the Town, no Town business could get done.

One possible parsing: leaving Mrs. Kabot without a quorum, the Democratic gals left Mrs. Kabot without the ability to get any of her own initiatives to a vote.

That's some shameful stuff!

But Mrs. Kabot was gracious in her comment to the reporter:

"This is really a non-issue in my book."

But with barely three weeks left in her term of office, if that's the way the game is going to be played, Linda should clear out her office and head for some snowy slopes or warm sunny beaches somewhere.
