Game Three

Updated 10/10/2009– 09:38 pm

The Dodgers... my Dodgers... are off to a good start against the favored St. Louis Cardinals in Game Three of their National League Division series.

Manny, starting to be Manny again, doubled in Matt Kemp in the first inning, and the Dodgers... my Dodgers... lead 1-0.

Game and Series to the Dodgers Dodgers!

Now, for the second year running, they have beaten a decidedly favored team three games to none in the first round of the playoffs.

And tonight they did it with a late season acquisition, pitcher Vicente Padilla.

There was no trade... the Texas Rangers felt he was such a malevolent presence that they were anxious to get him off their team and out of their clubhouse!

He was simply released in August, and the Dodgers grabbed him as a free agent.

Talk about dumpster-diving and finding a gem, this was Padilla's fifth victory without a loss since joining the Dodgers.

I'm stoked!

I see 1955 coming back.

And Clayton Kershaw would have the Johnny Podres role with Juan Pierre playing Sandy Amaros?

I can do that.
