Candidates' petitions to stand in the 2018 Westhampton Beach Village Elections had to have been filed by 5:00 pm Friday afternoon, and when the deadline had passed, only one, bearing the names of Mayor Maria Z. Moore and Trustees Ralph Urban and Stephen A. Frano had been accepted by Clerk of the Village Elizabeth Lindtvit.

The three incumbents will enjoy the political luxury of running unopposed on the ballot on the June 15th election, held in the Municipal Building at Six Corners.

A rumored challenge from one of the recently high profile Trager family members appears to have been illusory, so failing a successful write-in vote or Russian intervention, the make-up of the Village Board will remain the same for the next 13 months.
