Washington's Birthday epiphany

For decades I've raged about big media's Leftist biases, and written of specific instances of misrepresentations, lies and outright fraud by The New York Times, The Washington Post and, institutionally, the worst of them all, NBC news.

Just this evening, thanks to the weekly Showtime series "The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth" which follows the current Presidential campaigns with an almost as-it-happens immediacy, I discovered how dishonestly virtually everyone reported on Hillary Rodham Clinton's dog barking moment last week.

What was being shown on television was a brief clip of the Democratic front-runner seemingly losing her mind and sharply yapping like a small canine and thereby providing literal justification for anyone labeling her "a bitch."

I didn't pay all that much attention to it at the time... just watching the woman causes an unpleasant physical reaction in me... but "The Circus..." episode included a longer sequence concluding with the barking noises, and while it's still bizarre, it provides critical context and makes her seem less "barking mad" than just goofy.

So here's the epiphany part: big media (a/k/a "Main Stream Media") is not to be trusted on anything... they can't tell a story straight, and are equal opportunity prevaricators.

And here I thought they just picked on the "Right."

How about Howard Dean? A good man doomed by the media. Eeee Hahhh!

My initial reaction is that Dr. Dean did it to himself, but your point is valid.

Just as happened last week with Donald Trump and The Pope, big media's primary interest is getting the public riled up, even when there's actually nothing substantive about which to get riled.

This is a "sound bite society" now, and public figures must learn to be more careful with a microphone thrust in their face.

When I first saw that spot reported on the news a week or so ago, I wondered how long it would be before her opponents would start playing spots with her reciting any litany of her untruths, and then her own barking. I think it will become another unforced error for her campaign.

Call for you on Line Two from the Cruz campaign, David. How fast can you pack?
