This is most unfortunate!

And I suspect that it's going to impact on the dynamics of the 2016 Presidential race... whoever the candidates turn out to be.

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia Has Died At the Age of 79

"Scalia, the intellectual cornerstone of the court's modern conservative wing, whose elegant and acidic opinions inspired a movement of legal thinkers and ignited liberal critics, died February 13 on a ranch near San Antonio, Texas."
Justice Antonin Scalia

A man of strong faith (Roman Catholic) and a steadfast believer in a faithful reading of the original United States Constitution, "Nino," a Reagan appointee, was the longest-serving of the current Supreme Court Justices.

The fiery conservative with a sharp intellect and barbed wit, Justice Scalia zealously employed each in his celebrated verbal fights against what he saw as a tide of modern liberalism, and almost single-handedly redirected the tenor of the Supreme Court with his uncontested appointment in 1986.

That intellect and his strict constructionist views will be sorely missed.

Only in Texas could 443 miles from San Antonio be considered "near."

Point taken, but you should recognize that the "near San Antonio, Texas" was directly quoted from a news story.
