A once unimaginable perp walk

...though there some who would breathe a sigh of relief and say "Finally!"

Cosby arraigned

It's not a conviction, only an arraignment for an event which is alleged to have occurred almost a dozen years earlier.

Predictably, the defendant's attorneys, after suggesting the filing of the charges was politically motivated, concluded a statement with the boilerplate...

"...we intend to mount a vigorous defense against this unjustified charge and we expect that Mr. Cosby will be exonerated by a court of law."

Not that I was ever a big fan of the comedian, but I am saddened for I appreciated Cosby's sharp observations about "Male Sexuality" which the late Bernie Zilbergeld put to excellent use in his 1978 book of that name.

In the end, the punishment may be the process.

Well said, Para!

I have a lot of problems with many aspects of these allegations and charges... for openers in this specific case, why would Andrea Constand willingly take pills Cosby gave here while she was having social drinks with him, and I have trouble getting behind anything in which Gloria Allred is involved.

But either way, he's done.

The guy got an honorary degree at my daughter's Boston University graduation two years ago. He was dressed in his finest rumpled khakis and played-out sweat shirt and baseball hat. When asked to speak he went to the podium and gave that ridiculous Fat Albert laugh he was known for and sat back down.

Seemed he knew the jig was up.

Seems more like he no longer gave a rusty rat's rump.
