George, George, George...

...why are we not surprised?!

Guldi Denied Parole, Will Spend At Least Two More Years Behind Bars

George Guldi

"Finding that Mr. Guldi, now 61, had no remorse for using forged documents to scam millions of dollars from banks, nor any explanation for his actions after interviewing him on October 14, the board denied his bid for parole and put him on a 24-month hold, meaning he will not be eligible for parole again until 2016...."

I'm not one for kicking anyone while they are down, but "remorse?" Neither the word nor an equivalency are to be found anywhere in George's lexicon.

And I must say, this part of the New York State Parole Board's written decison concerning George's...

"present attitude [put him] at risk to reoffend."

...heightens my estimation of that Board.

Or maybe it's just that 35 months in the pokey has done little-to-nothing to cause the defrocked attorney to revise his demeanor.

And I doubt that another 24 months of what George refers to as a "free meal plan, free medical plan and subsidized housing" will do much to adjust that attitude.

A braggart and a buffoon.

I cannot disagree....

George had great parents, wonderful siblings, and the most amazing children. I am sorry he is disappointing all of them like this. We need to keep him in prayer.

That's a hard one to pray for.

I know, I know, and I agree... but then the milk of human kindness has been known to curdle in both our bosums.

Jackie, I hope somehow he is able to turn things around when he gets out.

Has he not been punished enough?

Woodie, George doesn't learn... if he had that capacity he would have gotten a clue from you pounding him at the school bus stop over 50 years ago for beating up Susie Brubaker!

Assuming that the system has finally had enough of him and he's gotten savvy enough to fool them into releasing him, he'll be swaggering around telling anyone who'll listen things like, "They haven't built the prison that'll hold me!"
