Not a feint...

Not a feint...'s official, or at least it's two-thirds of the way there as Lilac Avenue resident Maria Moore has picked up a candidate's petition and is presently circulating it around the Village!

Her intention is to stand for Mayor of Westhampton Beach this June, a position held for the past eight years by Conrad Teller.

An attorney by training, Mrs. Moore succeeded the deposed Hank Tucker as Treasurer on the Westhampton Free Library Board of Trustees. Her current term ends July 15, 2015.

Election Day is Friday, June 20, 2014 at Village Hall.

Was she the one who drew up those "illegal resolutions" when Joan Levan was running things on the Board?

Possibly, but I don't think so... I've always operated on the reasoned assumption that it was her husband, Tom Moore, who drafted those four resolutions which attempted to harness..."hamstring" might be the more appropriate word...the Chief of Police and the Village attorney, and I don't believe there should be "guilt by association" here which is why it wasn't referenced in the blog entry.
