Coming (back) and going...

Hampton Arts Twins it's new home just down the highway.

Once again there's movement on the marquee at Six Corners as the projector lamps (actually pulsed xenon bulbs) will soon be lit at the Hampton Arts Twin Cinemas.

Let movie-goers' joy reign unconfined!

Westhampton True Value Hardware

And on Tuesday of this week, Westhampton True Value Hardware left its Petty quarters to the West and opened its doors where Ronny Avalone once operated his photography shop.

I just went into the brand new store for a simple little purchase and all I could say was "Wow!"

"We've been getting that a lot this week," one of the staff told me.

Certainly fitting to start with Deneuve. I think her first notice was "Umbrellas of Cherbourg," which ran the whole Summer at Hampton Arts. Perhaps WHBPAC will run "Elvira Madigan."

Perhaps, thought it was her ninth film. Her older sister, Françoise Dorléac, actually had a more promising career at the time.

I don't remember that film commanding the Six Corners screen for an entire Summer as the Swedish one did in 1968, and Costa-Gavras' "Z" two years later.
