...or, but what have you done lately, Diana Nyad, née Sneed in New York City?
Yesterday, the 64-year-old endurance swimmer finally completed, on her fifth attempt, a 35-year quest to swim from Cuba to the United States without benefit of swim fins or protective shark cage.
"Sorry to interrupt, but we have Robert Kraft in the Green Room."
Kraft? Robert freaking Kraft?!? What has he done lately?
Dean saw the TV deed as it occurred this morning.
I remember Diana Nyad many years ago attempting this feat of strength, heart and endurance. I was thrilled to learn of her achievement this time; her triumph at sixty-four years of age. It gives us girls hope to have our gender version of Jack LaLanne – Diana Nyad with a 110 mile ocean swim. Holy Cow!
It was an insult for her guest appearance to be interrupted.
Look, I can't watch either Fox News or MSNBC, because they are both too extreme. CBS, I thought, would provide civility and a platform for this great athlete to share her and her team's success with the world.
I hope there's a BIG public apology, and am inclined to believe by his actions Charlie Rose is either a misogynist or a clueless bore. I wonder who let him break in on that interview?
Diana Nyad is today's world athletic news. Somebody better get his/her priorities straight.
What an athlete!
