So, what do I know?

OtBB's closing assertion in the previous entry:

"...while some have speculated that United States Attorney General Eric Holder may now seek to bring a Civil Rights Action as NAACP President Benjamin Jealous immediately demanded, he'd be a fool to even try... there would be a race war that would spread beyond the borders of Florida."

Silly me!

DOJ to investigate Zimmerman for Federal Civil Rights charges

DOJ urged to press civil rights charges against Zimmerman

It's not a done-deal yet, but the usual race-baiting suspects... Reverend Jesse Jackson, NAACP President Ben Jealous, Reverend Al Sharpton, Tavis Smiley, even Eliot Spitzer... are rabble-rousing in the wake of the Not Guilty verdict.

For his part, President Barack Obama, while he has yet to formally back off his March 2012 "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon" statement, shamelessly used the verdict to aggitate for increased gun control.

(Meanwhile, the reliably liberal Hollywood airheads jumped in from the entertainment community... accompanied by the long-discredited "choir boy" photo of Trayvon Martin.)

Almost half-a-century after President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the sweeping Civil Rights bill into law, a race war has against erupted in America.

Check last sentence phrase, you're reaching liberal incoherence.

It has been noted that the FBI already investigated and allegedly submitted a report citing a lack of racial taint to the Martin-Zimmerman confrontation. Doesn't mean it won't be revisited.

Irony Department: Titles 1980-1985 of 42 USC were passed during Reconstruction to force state/local officals to recognize the civil rights of former slaves.

  1. Too cruel!
  2. The FBI report to the contrary, that was then (almost exactly one year ago), this is now and I stand by my statement... or haven't you watched, listened or read the responses to the "Not Guilty" verdict? The division is almost entirely along racial lines.
  3. Thank you....
