One can only imagine...

...what was going on here, but I suspect that there's a sizable number of my gender who'd be willing to speculate.

I believe you have mistaken a sweet, fluffy baby bird as a female in the picture. The beak is lighter, and the feathers softer. Gender undetermined. It's just another hungry kid looking for a bigger bolus of food.

The photo is somewhat ambiguous.

Crabby is correct. Junior has a hallmark pale beak and undifferentiated gray-brown down about the head, throat, and belly. That's a baby, y'all. There's no ambiguity there, just an anthropomorphic interpretation in the service of a sexist comment.

Yes, I know. it's your blog. But we do take note. So y'all had better be taking Jeanne out to dinner tonight to make up for that post.
