Blogging for Bucks

I should entitle this, the shameless plea!

This is what I'm going to do:

Political Yard Sign

Didn't wanna do it, but it's been impressed upon me that this is what I have to do!

I am reminded of the words tossed off by that noted 1980s philosopher:

"Once you lose your integrity, the rest is easy." - J.R. Ewing

While I've drawn the line at aerial banners, I have to put up signs, run a big advertisement and make a mailing, because... wait for it... some people in the Village don't know there's a contested election next week.

Well, there is! And I'm running in it.

And to let enough people know that there's not only an election, but what's at stake, is going to cost a chunk of money.

Contributions to the "Friends of Dean Speir" will be gratefully accepted at:

256 East Main Street
Westhampton Beach, NY 11978

Four years ago when I ran, I never asked for campaign contributions... this year I'm asking.

Every little bit will help. Thank you.

I'll stop by Speir Manor on Friday; thought about sending you a key lime pie from local baker with a gift card containing my contribution but not sure if it would arrive complete.

Thank you, kind sir.

We will stop by Casa Speir as well, perhaps tonight or on Wednesday.

We will be pleased to receive you.
