We still belong dead

Not that the blogger is prescient, but I can parse language with the best of'em.

A year ago when Ned Dougherty announced "Club Marakesh-Our First Reunion," OtBB noted:

"The 'First,' presumably, of others planned."

Well, it's b-a-a-a-c-c-k, this time at Top of the Wharf on Dune Road in Hampton Bays.

(I was going to suggest that perhaps the event got too big for Tavern Night Club in Southampton, but I see that it never recovered from 2009's reunion and is now shuttered.)

So, here's the skinny on Reunion #2.

It seems to have been successful enough to warrant a second time around.

Good luck, Ned and Ginny... but I still won't be with you.

On a tangential, and sad, note...

We learned this week of the passing of original Club Marakesh plank owner Carl Johanson's son David, age 52, on June 19th.

Too young, too young.

Thanks, Dean... this post about David was forwarded by my son, who sent it to me because he was so touched that you included it this week... so am I.

And thank you... sorry for your troubles.
