Whatcha waitin' for, Joan?

It's been eight days since the last Village Board meeting, and at this writing, you have failed to even request a meeting with the Village's Labor Counsel, let alone schedule one.

When directly asked when you were going to do it, you stated on the record, "I hope quickly." The burning question remains...

It's costing Westhampton Beach taxpayers $20,000 per month to have Police Officers Michael Bruetsch and Joseph Pesapane suspended-with-pay and on restricted duty, so we're not quibbling about pennies here, Joan!

Also galling is the fact that neither you, nor your pet Mayoral project, Trustee Hank Tucker, are able to coherently explain why you are being obstructionist in achieving a resolution to this police disciplinary matter.

I'm aware that you think that you were re-elected Trustee last year to thwart Hampton Synagogue's proposal for an eruv, and that may have been what you were privately running around telling selected voters, but your primary directive as a member of the Village Board is to do the business of the Village.

Again, we ask, Mrs. Levan, whatcha waitin' for?

I think Ms. Levan won her last election because she was still attatched to the Mayor's hip; besides she was running against a nice enough guy who was shy and campaign adverse.

Interesting turn of phrase... but I think that she and Mayor Teller were long paarted at that point.

Joan's new plan–when losing ground "do nothing."
