'The Dying Cow'

I was exiting the Waldbaum's1 parking lot around 4:30 pm when an utterly unGawdly sound emanated from the Fire District property next door.

It was low and ominous, the likes of which I hadn't heard in over 60 years, and never in Westhampton Beach! More...

My Pens pal Joe had a thought this week about a potential pairing in the Stanley Cup finals:

Critical Mass at Waldbaum's

Me 'n' Marty are what our wives refer to as "boo-boo buddies." When one of us suffers a calamity and Linda is off in Wisconsin at a dog show or Jeanne is tending to her octogenarian parents on a mountaintop in Margaretville, we act as one another's transport, usually to the emergency room in Riverhead.

This morning's event, while not a serious MVA, or the non-surgical removal of a fingertip via band-saw, was fairly serious. More...

Sign caper caught on camera

The WFL Budget Vote

OtBB has spent much of the past week examining some little known policies and practices of Westhampton Free Library, and concludes that the proposed budget on which taxpayers are voting today1, should be defeated.

The foremost reason is that Library District voters are being denied so much meaningful information on which to base their decision at the polls. More...

WFL fiscal practices questioned

Right up front, I'm having serious problems about the way Westhampton Free Library is doing things.
